Responsible Sourcing & Traceability Policy

1.1. Who this covers.

Proseeds World — the trading name of the group companies named on our About page — for every commodity we buy, process and export.

2.2. Where our goods begin.

We buy at the collection markets of the producing regions — Gadarif, Kordofan, El Rahad, El Obeid and the markets around them — where the crop is first weighed. We buy from the market, at the market's scale, in the open.

3.3. First weighing and the lot.

A lot begins at its first weighing at the collection market. From that point it carries its identity — product, grade, market of purchase, date, weight — through every later step, to the lot number and crop year marked on every bag.

4.4. Movement under permit.

Every leg of transport moves under the required permits, with the taxes and fees of that leg — Zakat, forestry and business taxes where they apply — paid at official rates against official receipts, verified at checkpoints en route and again at the port. We make no payment outside this system.

5.5. Our own hands at Soba.

Cleaning, sorting, grading and packing happen at our facility at the Soba Industrial Complex, Khartoum, under our own supervision. The process is dry — hand sorting and mechanical sieving, no water at any stage. Input and output weights are reconciled and recorded per batch.

6.6. Segregation.

Species and grades are stored and processed separately; lots are not commingled.

7.7. What ships with every consignment.

Commercial invoice and packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of analysis (SSMO or a nominated laboratory), fumigation certificate where required, and a chain of custody record. Buyer's surveyor and third-party pre-shipment inspection are welcome.

8.8. People.

We employ locally at every site. No one under 18 works at our facilities. We pay market wages or better and provide safe working conditions.

9.9. Land and trees.

Gum is tapped from living trees in wild acacia forests; the tapping cycle rests the tree between pickings. We buy no material from cleared land.

10.10. Records.

The records behind this policy — weight records, permits, receipts, processing records, chain of custody — are retained for not less than five years, and the relevant lot file is available to customers with their shipment on request.

11.11. Raising a concern.

Anyone — employee, supplier, customer — can raise a concern about our chain at speakup@proseedsworld.com. We investigate and answer.
