About this product
Gum acacia — E-414 — is the dried sap of acacia trees tapped by hand in the dry season, wild from the acacia forests of Kordofan and beyond. We supply Acacia senegal (hashab) and Acacia seyal (talha): selected lumps, cleaned and sifted lumps, granules and powder, every lot declared and tested single-species.
Also known as gum acacia, acacia gum, Sudan gum — hashab (Acacia senegal) and talha (Acacia seyal).
Applications
What it does for you
In beverages it emulsifies citrus oils and holds clouding agents in suspension without thickening the drink. In flavor houses it is the carrier of choice for spray-dried flavors, wrapping each oil droplet against oxidation. In confectionery it stops sugar crystallizing and glazes pan-coated sweets. In pharma it binds tablets and stabilizes suspensions; in food it adds soluble fiber without changing taste or texture. Talha, at a fraction of hashab's cost, carries the spray-drying and fiber work; hashab carries the emulsions.
Acacia senegal — hashab
The classic gum of the trade — the emulsifier the beverage and flavor industries specify. We ship it as Hand-Picked Selected, Cleaned & Sifted, Kibbled, and Mechanical Powder.
In beverages and flavor houses hashab is the emulsifier and encapsulation wall that keeps citrus oils bright and spray-dried flavors stable. In confectionery it stops sugar crystallizing in gummies and pastilles and glazes pan-coated sweets; in pharma it binds tablets and steadies suspensions; in food it carries soluble fiber without changing taste or texture.

Acacia seyal — talha
The workhorse: at a fraction of hashab's cost it carries spray-drying and fiber applications. Cleaned, Siftings, and Powder.
Talha is the volume carrier: spray-drying, fiber fortification and confectionery work where performance per cost decides the formulation. Where the recipe does not need hashab's emulsifying power, talha does the same job at a fraction of the price.
